Hello, %FIRST_NAME%!
We've got one week to go and your VIRTUAL RACE BAG IS HERE. Check it out for lots of great offers from our partners and from us!
The weekend will kickoff at our Health and Fitness Expo where you will pick up your packet, get all your goodies, and visit all of our fun and exciting vendors!
Here is your ticket to get your stuff:
%REGISTRATION_ID_QRCODE%
When you come to packet pickup, please have this handy. I recommend taking a screenshot and saving it in your photos. When you show your QR code, a volunteer or staff member will scan it and get you all checked in for the race!
If you are a University of Michigan student and registered under the student discount, you will also need to show your student ID at packet pickup.
You will find everything you need to know for a successful race weekend in our Athlete Guide.
Quick list of important things to know:
Start times: Relay, 26.2 and 13.1 will start at 8 a.m. sharp. 10K, 5K, and ~19 mile will start at 8:30 a.m. Everybody must be checked in and ready to run by 8:15 a.m. If you miss the expo, packet pickup will be available at the registration table by the start line.
Shuttle bus for spectators and relays: There will be 2 buses shuttling between the start line and Gallup Park. A bus will depart every 20 minutes beginning at 7:45 a.m. The last bus will depart Gallup Park at 1 p.m. These are for spectators and relay participants. Tell your friends and family! This is different from the hotel shuttle. The hotel shuttle is run by the hotel.
Relay: If you are in the relay, only one person from the team will pick up your packet, but of course, all are invited to the expo.
Cut-off time: All full-marathon participants must be at mile 14 by 11:15 a.m. At this time, the sag vehicle will start on the course. Anybody behind this vehicle at this time should go to the finish line and call it a half-marathon!
We offer an early start option: If you think you may not make the cutoff time, you may start with the early shift at 6 a.m. Please know, that at this time, volunteers, aid stations, and police officers will not be out. You must know the course, bring a light, and bring hydration. If you did not choose the early start option when you registered, you may show up at that time and we will make the change for you. If you plan to finish within 6 hours, do not choose this option.
Course support: We will have 45 police officers and over 200 volunteers on the course! We thank our featured charities and local groups for providing many of those volunteers. A big shout out to our featured charities: MJR Foundation, Lost Voices, Families Against Narcotics, Concert Music Outreach Collective, and Girls on the Run for doing wonderful things in our community and helping to keep the course safe and entertaining for you. You can learn more and support them HERE.
Here are some things to know about the course.
19-Mile Training Run: (Yes, we offer that!) You will run two loops. Do the 10K first, then follow the course markings for 13.1.
26.2: 2 loops and you get to do the Arb Hill twice
13.1: 1 loop and you get to do the Arb Hill once
10K: 1 loop and you get to do the Arb Hill once
5K: 1 loop and you don't get to do the Arb Hill
Lost Voices will have busking stations in select spots along the course!
Don't forget about the KIDS RUN! .262 or .131 on September 30! Kids race free with a participating adult!
Gear Check
Gear check will be available under the red and white tent. You may use your own bag which will be checked by security or use the clear bag given to you at packet pickup.
